Year 965: Rumors spread of an ancient shrine deep within the forests of Yakushima, said to hold the key to ending the Yokai curse—or unleashing it upon the world.

RP Server? What does that mean?

Roleplaying in a video game sandbox can be an exciting and immersive experience, especially in a game like Wurm Unlimited. However, it can also be intimidating if you're new to the game or unsure of how to approach it. Here are some tips to help you get started:
1. Decide on a character concept: Before you start playing, think about who your character is and what motivates them. Are they a farmer, a blacksmith, a trader, or an adventurer? Are they friendly and outgoing, or reserved and untrusting? Knowing your character's personality and goals will help you stay in character and make decisions that feel authentic.
2. Explore the world: Wurm Unlimited has a vast and intricate world, full of resources to gather, creatures to hunt, and places to discover. Take the time to explore and get to know the world around you. You may come across other players and NPCs who can offer quests or trade goods, which can add to your roleplaying experience.
3. Interact with other players: Wurm Unlimited is a multiplayer game, and interacting with other players can be a crucial part of your roleplaying experience. You can join a guild or start one, attend events, or simply chat with other players. However, keep in mind that some players may prefer to keep to themselves or may have different playstyles, such as the untrusting player who only buys and sells goods from NPCs. Respect their choices and try to find ways to interact that suit both of you.
4. Embrace the challenges: Wurm Unlimited can be a challenging game, and part of the fun of roleplaying is facing those challenges as your character. Whether you're trying to build a new structure, tame a wild animal, or defend against an enemy, approach these challenges as your character would. Consider their skills, strengths, and weaknesses and find creative ways to overcome obstacles.
5. Have fun: Ultimately, roleplaying in Wurm Unlimited should be a fun and enjoyable experience. Don't take things too seriously, and remember that everyone has their own playstyle and preferences. Select an origin that you will find the most fun to live as in the world. If you really don't like the character, you can always try again and create a new name and select a new origin, just remember that you must abandon your old character, and you cannot return to them! If you wish to roleplay their tragic death or disappearance, all the better!
In summary, roleplaying in Wurm Unlimited can be a rich and rewarding experience, but it requires a willingness to immerse yourself in the game world and interact with others in meaningful ways. With these tips in mind, you can create a unique and engaging character and explore the many possibilities of this sandbox game.

This partially flooded labyrinth sprawls under the village, it's halls choked by thick vines and moss that have claimed the stone over centuries. The air is damp and heavy, filled with the scent of wet earth and decaying vegetation. Once a source of precious ore for the town, now this place is infested with creatures preying on new adventurers seeking to make a name for themselves. Ancient Crypts
Beneath an otherwise peaceful valley in the north, an ancient crypt lies forgotten, its once-grand entrance now cracked and crumbling. Inside, the air is thick with the stench of decay and the oppressive silence of the long-dead. Rows of tombs line the walls, many broken open, revealing remains that still stir in their restless slumber. The crypt is not only haunted by the undead—flooded chambers stretch beneath it, home to grotesque cave monsters that slither through the murky waters. Seaside Shrine
Nestled along the southern coast rests a once peaceful beach shrine, now the refuge of ruthless bands of pirates and creatures from the sea. The salty breeze carries the scent of decay from a nearby shipwreck, its shattered hull twisted and abandoned, a silent testament to a tragedy befalling the new inhabitants of this cursed place. Everywhere you look, unnatural webs stretch like intricate tapestries, glistening with dew and pulsing with movement. Gigantic spiders skitter along the webs, their beady eyes glowing faintly in the misty gloom. The fort, once a place of refuge, is now a chilling labyrinth of infested rope bridges and abandoned structures, a lair for the horrors that have claimed it as their own. Shadows move within the ruins, and the howls of monstrous creatures echo from beneath the ground, where ancient, forgotten terrors stir.
